Anji Richards’ painting Red Shoes has been selected for the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award 2026 at the National Portrait Gallery.

The exhibition runs from 25 June to 7 October 2026, with free admission.

Anji Richards is a London-based Black British artist exploring portraiture, Black identity, representation, skin tone, style and the expressive language of the body.
